the best pictures

sometimes the best pictures aren't the ones of the greatest professional quality.  the rays of sunshine floating in through the glass doors give a feeling of warmth and reality to me.

and this blurry smile makes me happy inside.

 

what a day...

our pooch loves *swimming*.  it is one of her most favorite things.  granted, we actually have to put her in the pool to get her to swim - but how can you look at these photos and not notice the anticipation and then joy of it all...

she waits *patiently* while her dad does some pre-swim chores...

and **drum-roll** i finally got brave enough to get the camera i've been thinking of for the past 2 years - this is the newest model that came out last fall.  i know i will have to be patient and take the time to learn how to use it - thankful for auto mode though so i can take general pics in the meantime.

are these not the most amazingly colored flowers?  i was out picking up some tissue paper that had blown in the courtyard and when i turned to my side, i noticed these wonderful guys peeking through the surrounding foliage.  i had planted these in one of the pots last year and thought they had long died away, but i guess they were just sleeping!  what a happy surprise for me!  and i did not touch the color on these photos, they really are that brilliant color of purple - which is why i bought them to begin with.

my nephew zach.  this was a little over 2 years ago (he was 10) at the *glendale glitters* holiday event.  isn't that first pic cool how everyone around him is kind of transparent?  i didn't plan it, it just turned out that way.

seriously, this dog lives the good life.  these photos are at our old house in may 2004.  dinger so loved the huge grassy yard.  even though she probably doesn't realize it, i think she misses it.  she used to spend so much time outside sniffing around the plants and trees and laying sprawled out on the grass.  i took these photos with my old sony point and shoot digital - seems like the quality was better than the kodak i now have.  i still have that sony - i may have to dig it out and dust it off...
